Morning Girl by Michael Dorris

I found this book while searching for Columbus era books. This is written from the perspective of a Taino brother and sister living on a Bahamian island in 1492. It is very gentle and easy to read (My first grader could not read it herself, so maybe a 3rd grade reader?) and ended when Columbus landed on the island. 74 pages in all.

Exploring The New World by Melody Herr

An Interactive History Adventure - 5 story paths, 43 choices, and 18 endings. You can follow Columbus, Coronado, or Sieur de La Salle. I only read the Columbus ones and there was talk of the first outpost being overrun with the native islanders (you get shot).

What Columbus Found by Jane Kurtz

A Ready-to-Read level 1 book about Columbus and the pumpkins he brought back to Spain.
