It has been a long haul for our family. tomorrow I have some screws that are very painful removed. We are hopeful that that will allow for healiing. Could you spare a prayer for me please?

I will definitely pray. I read your story, it was so readable, and even though I felt badly for you, it was so witty at the same time. :)

My Mum was in a car accident when she was 45, she had screw put into her pelvis (she needed 3), and had a pin inserted into her lower leg, for traction. As I recall she was in traction for more than 8wks. And it was painful to remove.   

Keep up that good sense of humour, my Mother's faith and good sense of humour got us all through that terrible time.
