So I found this recipe for homemade ABC's. Since my goal is to start turning our normal foods healthier, how can I change this recipe to make it healthier? My son loves, loves, loves his ABC's and since he is extremely picky, I hate to cut out the one thing that he is eating right now. How can I make it better for him?

Thanks for helping me brainstorm this recipe.

use fresher ingredients

whole wheat pasta

less processed cheese (like a regular cheddar vs velveeta)

you might be able to slip in something like shredded zucchini or other summer squash or other cooked veggies if you blend them into the tomato soup before adding the noodles.
