The Amazon Prime thread reminded me that Amazon now is offering a similar program for college students... but it involves free two day shipping for a whole year (free- no signup fee for the first year). It's called Amazon Student.

I think this would definitely be worth checking out if you have college students.... or if you have HS students attending community college.
