Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ds has blazed through my LA plans for this year-Seton Composition.
He wants to do more writing for LA, I want to do something like an 8th grade LA program.
I think IEW would work for part of these goals. But I am overwhelmed when visiting their website. I thought they just had videos and some workbooks, mostly related to writing.
Could someone who has btdt help me find what I want.
I was hoping ds could watch the videos I am supposed to watch and do his assignments somewhat independently. Is that realistic?
Thanks!
Anne

I had my dd go through the Student Writing Intensive A dvds last summer. She enjoyed them and I could see benefits in her writing this year. Mr. Pudewa is very fun to watch. This course is basic and only has four discs but good to start of with. We're thinking about buying the Continuation Course B, just becasue she enjoyed it and learned from it. It was a very independently done program; I'd periodically check in and go over the lessons, but she did it on her own.

Hope this helps .

Hi Anne,
We are big IEW fans.
We used the C student intensive using the DVD with a friend as a seminar approach.
We bought the B Intensive, but only use it as a reference.
My dd was 11 turning 12.
It has opened up her mind to writing, before that she was scared to write.

I just wanted to let you know how it changed our dds writing, and how much it has worked for us

Leanne

I have used Writing Intensive Student Workshop C (high school) in 8th grade.
http://www.excellenceinwriting.com/sid-c
We also do Seton's English and IEW compliments it well, focusing on aspects of writing that are more indirect or not mentioned at all by Seton.

They are offering free shipping until the 6th
