Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

No, not the dvds specifically from Seton, but I assume they are just the regular compilation dvds. Mr. Wizard in general is very good. We enjoy him and find him a good learning tool. You can find clips on YouTube and other online sources (like Retrovision) if you want to see some ahead of time.

An older thread where this is mentioned - Watch Mr. Wizard

I've never used the Mr. Wizard episodes in association with Seton, but we do very much enjoy Mr. Wizard!

There is a Mr. Wizard website that is fun. Another fun item to have on hand is this free ebook written by Don Herbert (Mr. Wizard) and Hy Ruchlis entitled, Mr. Wizard's 4oo Experiments in Science. It's a great experiment book -- and you can't beat the price!

Thanks for the .pdf. I keep meaning to purchase the DVDs. We used to watch the reruns growing up. While I like Bill Nye, I have to say Mr. Wizard's calm presentation is much more appealing to em.

Beakman is now available on Netflix (4 seasons worth, I think?)...also a bit "chaotic" but my boys, ages 8 and 9, seem to like him.

My boys (9,9,8) love the Mr. Wizard videos and frequently choose to watch them just for fun! Can't beat that for easy learning! I like his calm approach and his excellent explanations, too.

ETA: I would consider these as a supplement to a science study, not as the whole curriculum.

Just ran across several of Mr Wizard's experiments in a series from Treasure Chest of Fun & Fact - Mr. Wizard's Science Secrets

There are about 10 experiments. I think they are experiments from this book Jen linked.
