Please pray for me as I am experiencing strong dread of and anxiety over this pending birth. Baby is bigger than the last 3, I can feel it and Dr. has said so, and I feel an anxiety over making it through birth, and over the pain. I know in my head it's kinda irrational and that I will be fine, but I pray and feel peace and strength, and then I feel overwhelmed again. I tore really bad with first dd, and have always had some anxiousness over birth since then, and with this little one holding out longer than any of the others has it's making it hard, to not let the fear take over. I'm 50% effaced and 3-4 cm dilated, but only having short spurts of prodromal labor. In some ways I just want to get this over with, but at the same time I don't feel ready.
I want to birth naturally, I really don't like epidurals because of possible side effects etc. and I'm not one to take a lot of meds even (although I don't totally rule it out as an option, I did have one with the twins for various reasons). I would appreciate prayers for grace to make it through naturally, and to be calm, and that the atmosphere will be grace-filled.
On a positive note, I have hope that baby will come when my favorite nurse is there who has been there for the last 2 births and actually birthed our 3 yo, and stayed over to be there for the birth of the twins. I prayed as part of our Christmas novena that she would be there for the birth, and she is actually working tomorrow, when she only works Saturday and Sunday the rest of the time.
One more intention, that a particular nurse will not be there during our time there, somehow. She flirts with every guy that comes through the door , and while it doesn't affect dh in the least, it is terribly uncomfortable and frustrating as a wife, and that is the last thing one needs to experience and have on your mind during labor and time in the hospital with dh and sweet new baby.
Thank you all for your faithful and continued prayers, it means SO VERY much.

Oh Pilgrim, you can do this! You've done so well in your previous pregnancies.
But I understand what you are going through.
Think up all those special intentions you can offer this up for.
And leave the rest in God's Hands..
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
Philippeans 4:13
Offering up a Rosary for you today and tomorrow.

Thinking of you tonight, Pilgrim!
What a beautiful and blessed time to approach the birth of a child - during the Christmas season!
May Our Lady hold you close and assist you in guarding your peace so that you can embrace this moment with joy!

Still nothing happening at the moment, as far as I know . Just waiting and contemplating naming baby "Pokey". Thank you SO MUCH for the rayers I can feel them, and am so very grateful, it is what is carrying me through this waiting, and I know will get me through the birth. I have pressure from some to be induced, and really don't want to. Please pray for wisdom, and what is best! Thank you all you wonderful friends and cyber-Aunties!

I don't know why, but I was more anxious each time I faced delivery. My worry was not necessary, though, as some of my later children arrived with fewer troubles (especially on the recovery side, as I have had all c-sections). I know this kind of worry only too well, Pilgrim! I will be keeping you in my prayers this week and hoping to hear great news soon! May God grant you peace, a safe and healthy delivery with the least possible suffering, and the OB nurse you feel comfortable with! Congratulations!!!

Praying mightily for you, Pilgrim...especially for great positioning of the baby, which in my experience, is more important than baby size .
Love,
