Please join me in offering a prayer of thanksgiving to God for some very generous people who are making somebody's Christmas possible without even being asked.

It can be hard for some people to accept charity without feeling 'weird' and beneath those who give. But when it is not possible to make the gifts annonomusly, It should be remembered that for the wealthy to practice charity, there have to be poor people to accept it. The poor are a vehicle for the practice of virtue of those who are in a better financial position.

It's Divine Providence at work.
