Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

(across from Catholic University of America)

For directions and information: Sophika (240) 426-0530, Jurij (301-549-6558, or the Parish office at (202) 526-3737.

I posted this information last year in this thread: Easter Eggs Traditions. I just love wax resist egg art!

The food is very good, and I like to stock up on some traditional food items for my Easter Basket for the Food Blessing on Holy Saturday. The workshop itself is a very detailed demonstration with slides and then includes supplies and teachers to help. It's very casual family atmosphere...all held in the Church "basement." There is also a variety of Ukrainian type items, including wooden Ukrainian eggs to purchase.

I've gone a few year now and have really enjoyed it. It's right near the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and John Paul II Cultural Center.

If anyone is planning on going, can you PM me? I'll be going alone if I go at all this year. Dh volunteered to stay with ds because of his egg allergies.

Drooling, here How wonderful. We have spent some time this Lent on Ukranian eggs (pysanka), as has been our tradition for a few years now.
