What is your range of the earliest and latest you've gone into labor, on your own, under normal circumstances, in a normal pregnancy? I've gone on due date, then 3 days early, then with the twins it was 2 1/2 wks early (which is normal for twins). For those who've had twins, have you noticed that it's changed when you went into labor in subsequent pregnancies?

I'll tell you our days according to our calculations instead of the U/S estimation of my due date, because that was wrong more often then not (one set of U/S said I conceived 3 days after my positive home pregnancy test and they would not budge from this date )
So #1 was 7 days early, #2 was 11 days early, #3 was 14 days early, and #4 was 16 days early. I was SURE #5 would be earlier still. He was born 3 days early and those weeks in between when I thought he'd come and when he did come were some of the longest of my life!
No twins here though.

My water broke 11 days early with #1. That was the earliest for me.

Earliest 38 weeks
latest 44 weeks
I've had them at 39 weeks, 40 weeks (plus 2 or 3 days), 41 weeks, 41.5 weeks, 42 weeks and 42.5 weeks.

On time, a few days late to ten days late. Ten days late is more my normal style.

Jodie, can I ask how you made it to 44 weeks?? I made it to 42 weeks 6 days with number 2 when we tried for a VBAC, without any labor or progress. I had the most natural, lenient doctor in the area and even he wouldn't let me go past 3 weeks over....

First, 39 weeks 2 days
Second, 38 weeks 4 days
Third, 38 weeks
I'm really hoping this is a pattern and that my fourth baby will come even earlier...say 37 weeks sharp , because I'm so sick of being sick...

#1 15 days late
#2 6 days late (but on due date according to my knowledge of ... *stuff*)
#3 10 days late
#4 3 days late
#5 4 days late
#6 2 days early - and, of course, I was totally unprepared - didn't expect to go *before* the due date.
Peace,
Nancy

I'm with you Ladycarobe, hence the reason for this thread. I want to go sooner, but also I have a lot to do before she comes, so I know God's timing, and baby's will be best!

Vanessa, I used a midwife and we were checking on baby to make sure he was doing well fairly frequently.
I always say we scared him out because after the last appt. I'd stopped and bought some herbs to help start labor but then waited and talked with my dh and then called my midwife and we agreed to start them when I woke up in the morning.. at that time it was about 9am.. I woke up at 7am in labor

DD#1 According to U/S on my due date (induction) and she WAS NOT READY (not a very nice story)
DD#2 Water broke on my due date
DS#1 one week early
DS#2 3 days early ( I was walking around 4 centimeters dilated for over two weeks, you can imagine how badly they wanted to induce me

Yes, I can imagine Mimi. That's one of the reasons I turn down the offer for them to check me any time before my due date , I know if they find me dilated it will only get people going.

Both my children were born on their due dates. Not sure how that happened!

Earliest - four days past due date
Latest - fifteen days past due date (induced)
My due dates have always been pretty close to the due date I calculated based on my cycle, so I guess I just tend to go late. I have been getting progressively earlier, though, so who knows about next time!
