If anyone is reading this right now, please pray for a little girl who I met through our local Torch group a few years ago. She is about 4 years old and is undergoing a heart transplant right now (noon Wed.) My girls have prayed for her daily for years, and her family has been hoping for a new heart for some time. Her name is Betsy.
And could you say a prayer for the poor family who has lost the child who is providing this heart?

Oh my, I know sweet Betsy---thanks for sharing this, Irene.
My girls and I will offer some prayers for her and her parents right now and also for the grieving family whose loss must feel like more than they can bear.

I was out all afternoon and evening and just got home to receive this update:
"[The family is] on the way back home to Virginia. When the heart arrived at the hospital the doctors decided against doing the transplant at this time."
What an unbelievable disappointment this must be for Betsy's family! Please continue to pray for them. Thank you so much.

Oh, how heartbreaking for the family.........
we prayed our family rosary for both families after we got your email....
but, I cannot help but wonder of this is an answer to our prayers.........but one we cannot even begin to understand, of course
Saint John of God is the patron saint of heart patients.
We will keep them in our prayers........do keep us updated!
