Please pray for a thirteen year old girl back in our home state that is in septic shock right now, possibly meningitis, many of her organs have shut down.....it is looking pretty dire. It sounds like this started out as a flu like thing, and very quickly turned critical. Regina is from a terrific, faithful, Catholic homeschooling family....she is one of a set of triplets, and many younger siblings.....(and an older brother). My heart is breaking....I wish I was there to help out, but I am spreading the word, and asking all of you to pray her to health.

Update 11/17--Regina is still gravely ill, but it sounds like the doctors are pleased with her progress the last 24 hours. Her vitals are stable, that is a good thing. She is still on three meds to keep her BP stable, and sedated so she won’t fight the vent. The next few days are crucial, I am sure. Thanks so much for your prayers, the family has expressed their deep appreciation for the outpouring of prayers for their precious daughter.
Update 11/18--Regina is stable. Has “woke up” a few times, gave her family “thumbs up” and “signed” that she was cold and wanted her glasses. I think that is terrific! She is still on the vent, still on meds to keep her BP stable, but she has improved the last 24 hours. Thanks so much!!! The family continues to express their profound gratitude for the outpouring of prayers.
FInal Update 11/19-
We cannot thank you all enough for your support and prayers!!! Praise be to God, Regina is continuing to improve. She has been off the ventilator for nearly 12 hours now, the feeding tube has been removed and tests for liver and kidney function are still consistently improving. She even ate a little cereal this morning! If things continue to go well today, she’ll be out of the ICU and into a “regular” hospital room tomorrow. We can’t believe how far she has come in just a few days. She’s still mostly “out of it” as the sedatives wear off, but her vitals are good and she’s been talking some. (What a releif it is ot get to talk to her again!)
