I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow!

There are no lessons outside the home, no music teachers coming, no choir practice, no playdates scheduled . . .

I am positively giddy with excitement over the prospect of an uncomplicated day alone with the children!

I spoke too soon, gang! The singing teacher is here right now. She was sick last week and needed to do a makeup. In my glee last night, I completely forgot. Good thing I remembered before she showed up!

The good news is that her presence gives me a bit of extra time to check in at "4Real" right in the middle of the day!

All this talk of doing nothing was so (un)motivating! We took the day off as well, didn't even do math. What a needed relief! We painted the boys' Pinewood derby cars, built the Bon Homme Richard out of blocks, made some lentil soup and took a 2 hour nap.

As I type, my older boys are fishing with their grandpa and dad. My mom is sewing a Regency Era dress with my dd for 2 upcoming dances. I'm ON MOMMY VACATION! I talked with a friend on the phone long distance for 2 hours while watching JP play then nurse then nap. I can't remember the last time I had a day like today. Ahhhhh....

BTW, my parents leave us (and their AZ wintering) in a week . Maybe I'll get a day like this again next year .
