Our parish hall caught fire sometime last night, all that's really left are the walls. DH was there as a member of the fire dept. Cause is under investigation. The fire was reported at about 0045 hrs this morning, and at that time, the building was completely engulfed.
Luckily there were no injuries, no life lost, and the Church is fine.
But it's a real blow to the Parish and many things to figure out.. where to hold CCD Classes, we have a Christmas Bazaar that's normally held in the hall the first weekend of December. Tables for it already sold out.

Oh dear, Jodie!
I'm relieved no life was lost and that the Church was ok...but I can imagine how devastating this is for your Church family! Adding my prayers for all of you!

Oh, how awful. I, too, am glad it happened when no one was there, but it's still a terrible loss.

It's so sweet and so typical around here.. we tend to be optomistic people and focus on what we can do rather than worrying over what we can't do anything about.
My oldest pulled out one of her notebooks and started brainstorming ways to raise money to help replace the cost of the hall. Thinking for her CCD class do organize (8-12th grade)

So glad no one was hurt, but so sorry you all lost your hall!!! Praying that rebuilding may soon occur, and that in the meantime a place will be found for church functions.
