If you are interested in women's rights and welfare around the world, regardless of where you live and your citizenship, you can take part in a quick 5 minute survey from the UK Department of International Development. They want to know what priorities people have regarding maternal and infant health and girls' and women's rights, in order to reduce the numbers of women dying during pregnancy and post-partum. Is the only answer really more abortions and condoms funded by the UK taxpayer? Or could it be that tackling issues like malaria, malnutrition and fistulas, stopping female genital mutilation and violence against women, and improving the educational and employment rights of women would help? survey here
