Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Have you ever seen them? I saw one for the first time today at the opthamologist's of all places. No idea the name. The nurse said it was accurate. She wasn't all too friendly so I didn't push for more info.

Anyone know any brands? Good? Bad?

I'm so tired of buying those little ear cups for my ear thermometer!

As a matter of fact... I tried another forehead thermometer and did NOT like it. Then I tried the one from Costco and have been very pleased. I compared with the oral, underarm and rectal readings. I found it was close to the oral and rectal temps, and so easy to use.

Exergen Thermometer

Dd's doctor's office uses one and I sure wish I'd had one about 18 years ago...what a blessing. We're all old enough to use oral thermometers now, but the forehead thermometer at our doctor's office seems to work very well.

Thanks for the recommendation Jenn! I saw that at Amazon and it was $5 more, good to know it is at Costco.

So this one you do touch to the child's head right? That's good too! The one the doctor had you didn't even touch the child's head! I'm betting though if I figure out what that one is, it'll be way more than just $30

I've had a Life brand thermometer for years now! What a life saver! Kids are so squirmy to hold long enough for the underarm one, and I couldn't go near their ears!!
These are so quick and easy!

Exergen Thermometer

I have had an Exergen thermometer for five years now, and I LOVE it. When I had my youngest child, the nurses used this thermometer on both me and the baby. It is very accurate and so simple to use, especially on a sleeping child. After the countless ear thermometers and digital thermometers that I've gone through, I think the Exergen is well worth the price!
