I finally opened our 2nd edition Jacobs text we will be using with two kids this year. We used the Algebra last year and all of the set 2 answers were in the back. To my horror I see that only a small number of the answers are in the back of the 2nd edition Geometry. I can't fork out the bucks for the 3rd edition right now, at least not right away, so I would like to figure out if there is solutions manual, or at least something with the answers to one of the sets, out there?

Yes the 2nd edition has a TM - don't know if it is available from the publisher or not. I got mine years and years ago. I would suggest looking for used. The isbn # for edition 2 is 0-7167-1748-4 and is called Teacher's Guide to Geometry. My edition is the 12th printing - (2003) don't know if there were any later printings of 2nd edition or not.

The answers for some things are in the back of the book. The other answers are in this TM.

Unlike Algebra I or II in Saxon, you don't really have a solution manual, just a TM with answers (the TM illustrates a bunch of tiny, tiny (unseeable for me) overhead presentations, was not all that helpful, spent most of the time trying to entice interest - but it did give the answers (though be aware there are the usual number of errors - and Geometry has many ways to correctly do the same thing - sooo, Geometry is much harder to grade.) Even as a math lover, I found this TM a bit hard to use, probably mostly because it was very easy for me to misread which problem and problem set and it was a pain flipping back and forth between different sources of answers. It was workable though and between the two you at least had all the answers.

Oh My the TM is expensive if I order to Canada....hopefully I can find a different solution (I emailed the publisher and I am waiting now for a reply).
