Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Moms~

I have the cds and generally really like the program. However, I would like to add some instruments to the repertoire, but the book emphasizes good quality, etc. However, no brands or websites are given...

Any ideas as to what a "good quality" toy instrument would be?

Thank you!

They have an Equipment Guide section in the family section of their website.

This was the guide I followed when buying instruments and they've held up reasonably well, particularly the boomwhackers- be warned little boys will consider them 'swords'. (musical sword fighting has been an interesting experience-my son has become fairly good at whacking on beat )

You guys, Michael's has all the best kid instruments right now! You get them in that $5 and under aisle. They're all made of wood and painted very colorful. They're $3 for each thing. They have tambourines, egg shakers, maracas, jingle bell stick things- all kinds of stuff!

Also, Pottery Barn Kids has some really cool stuff, but it can be pricey. However, I find great deals all the time at our Pottery Barn Kids Outlet, and I got a really cool set of wooden drum things for $4.

We've had a set of cheap maracas before that were smashed before Christmas day was over, so I'm into the higher quality stuff for sure, but I can't brake the bank either. Hope this was helpful.
