Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

know my body is warming up...and I know from experience that this can happen
for quite some time yet. My stomach is a little sensitive (heartburn) and yet I
was wondering what I should be eating, especially for dinner if I know that any
day (most likely night) I will be in labor...what do you eat? So much just
doesn't appeal to me....My body needs nutrient-dense food ..or else I pay...but
what should that look like??
help?

The only thing that comes to mind is when I was in early labor my midwife had me eat cottage cheese with fruit.. otherwise I have very little issues with food.

Can I turn this backwards a bit? What foods do you find work for you?

We can help you figure out ways to serve/combine the foods that work for you.

You might also check out that thread on early morning athletes.

My midwife recommended Odwalla Superfood juice drinks. And I totally agree with her.

It was nutrient dense... yet appealing enough for me to "eat" while in labor without loading my body down... and when all other foods just sounded gross.

It's an ugly green, thick drink... but super, super yummy.

RRL tea by the bucket, yogurt, whole grain toast with honey, emergen - C (sounds like Ellie's recommendation would be really good also.) Smoothies with frozen fruits, some protein powder and spinach (you won't taste the spinach) eggs if you can tolerate them, Cheese cubes and whole grain crackers.   - These are the kinds of things I eat a lot of during those last few 'anytime now' days. Prayers for you Donna!
