), he rents the industrial carpet cleaner from the grocery store. I think it is called a Rug Doctor. He also uses the cleaners that are sold where the machines are rented. I don't even want to know the yucky chemicals in them and they are not exactly a bargain -- unlike his wife, who is often distracted by the details
, my husband is out to conquer the task, not over-analyze things such as the cost 
or toxicity 
of the chemicals.. y'know the whole business of "men are conquerers." In the end, the rugs look very nice and clean when he is finished. I cannot think of a stain that did not meet it's match with the industrial cleaner.
