This just came through our local e-list. It's so sad:

A friend's daughter is having an incredibly difficult
time entering her teen years. They pulled her from
[----Catholic School] during 8th grade (two years ago). She has
since fallen in with the wrong crowd. I just found
out she has been at [-----Mental Institution]; I don't know how long.
She came home last night and got into some pills.
She is in the hospital now, I don't know if it was a
suicide attempt or not. Please pray that God will
guide her out of her emotional turmoil and help
her turn around. (Her name is Bridgette).

This is such a difficult heartache to bear..I will keep Bridgette and her family in my prayers. I have dealt with similar issues for some years and tried to be ready to accept the worst case scenario if God willed it...just one heartache after another....but forever hopeful at the same time. God is good! and the graces come! ... praying this special intention very fervently this Lent.
