7/22 pm: Baby arrived safely although very early but everything sounds great! From the mom's blog: Her stats: 3 lb 15 oz, 16 inches. She is doing great today, has needed no assistance with breathing. Her scar looks great, we have been able to hold her and try to breastfeed. Please continue to pray for Ruth, they are working!
I posted this back about at the end of April:
A friend that is 2 weeks ahead of me found out her baby has spina bifida and club foot and she's hoping to fly to CA for a trial prenatal surgery that can hopefully prevent the baby from needing a shunt in the brain after birth. If they get this surgery, she'll have to remain there until the baby's birth leaving her 4 older daughters for a period of 3-4 months here in TX. They won't know the severity of anything until the baby comes. Her name is Sara and the baby's name is Ruth.
I had it posted w/ another prayer request but today's update is that she has been in CA since Memorial Day and had the surgery and everything is looking good but she started pre-term labor today and they're trying to hold her off as long as possible. She's 31 weeks now so if you could pray for Sara and her unborn baby, Ruth, I would be grateful.

I certainly remember this very important intention! I will be praying for Sara and Ruth (what lovely names, by the way!). I know every day counts right now...
