Does anyone here use Kids Discover Magazine???

I've previously looked at it online and one sample at the library - my son was too young for it at the time and I prefer more photographs.

We're really looking more for culture, geography, history - and this seems to have everything except current cultural matters - is that accurate? If so, perhaps I can balance that out another way within our schooling.

But... I'm so unsatisfied with every other option and I like the idea of my son getting something in the mail that is just for him, that he is learning from but it is not "school", that covers a variety of topics, and has decent artwork.

Thus far, this one is looking really good.

I'm looking for any insight into how they address political correctness, evolution, those sorts of things - I'm ok with those things, but I like to be prepared for what is coming


In addition, if anyone has any older issues they wouldn't mind sharing, I'd be willing to buy them to try it all out before we subscribe.... I'll post in the trading post about this one.

We have Kids Discover here. It is very educational and my kids love it. It is from a secular point-of-view; reminds me of books by Usborne or DK. I usually browse through the issue before handing it over though.
