Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm new to learning about essential oils and I'm getting overwhelmed trying to figure it all out. Could someone be so kind to point me to a beginners guide to essential oils?

In specific I'm looking for something that could help my nearly 10 month old. He's battled ear infections and how has tubes, but I think he may be getting another ear infection as he's not sleeping at all, has a slight temp and a major runny nose (clear.) Thanks!

The things I know work for ears don't help once they have tubes.. because you can't put anything in the ear once there's that opening.

Have you considered chiropractic? I've heard that it can really help get the ears open and draining properly.

And is he getting teeth? a slight fever and runny nose could also be from teeth.. something easy to check anyway.

If he can chew small pieces of candy (think slightly larger than a smartie), check out a product called ear-a-saurus. ENT at the children's hospital recommended it to us. Saved us from a second set of tubes.

I am fairly familiar with essential oils, and one thing i was taught was than chamomile, lavender are the only essential oils to be used with littlies.
It is just a rule of thumb, but as they are so responsive to aromatherapy, homeopathy etc, its best to be very cautious.

there is a great book called "The Fragrant Pharmacy"- Ann worwood. excellent reference.
