This is a wonderful idea: Population Research Institute (PRI)is reporting that many Latin American countries will officially celebrate the Day of the Unborn Child on March 25th, the Annunciation.

In Peru, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaraguea and the Dominican Republic, the day has been officially recognized by the government. In many other countries, the day will be celebrated by Catholic and Pro-life organizations.

Here is the official Prayer for the Unborn Child, by Bishop Jose Antonio Eguren:

Our Lord, Creator of the human race, whose Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virign Mary to redeem and save men and women, delivering us from the trespass of our sins, hear the prayers of these, your daughters, who implore you for the children for whom they are waiting, and to give them a happy and healthy birth; let their children add to the community of the faithful, to serve You always and to be worthy of your life everlasting. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
