If you dear ladies and gentlemen could spare a few more prayers for my parents, I would really appreciate it. I thought we were done with all this.
I have posted before about my parents financial situation and that of my now deceased grandmother. Last fall, my parents finally found a nursing home that would take my grandmother, and they applied for her to Medicaid, assuming since she had no money she would be accepted and the nursing home fully paid for.
Well, here we are 7 months after her death and my father just got a bill for $31,000 - apparently medicaid *rejected* her application. Hmmm, thanks for telling us.
Anyway, since I am the Person Who Is In Charge of Making Sure My Father Doesn't Have a Heart Attack  I'm off to do some legal research. I don't think my dad is liable for this - there WAS no "estate" as my grandmother was broke - but they are still super stressed, as they don't have any savings, etc themselves and only enough work to pay their bills (sort of). 
Thanks for any prayers for the unknotting of this situation.

I feel like I know your parents, Amy, and my prayers continue. I'm praying mightily for you, too. I pray that you can stay strong, healthy, detached, and productive as you navigate this paperwork nightmare . I really am sorry.
