Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't have a book recommendation, but have you seen the My 50's Life blog? She's been at it for a year and a half.

She even dresses in 50s clothes!

Here are some online resources:

Not all these will fall into the 1920s, but I had to include

Feeding America Project for the homemaking books.

Hearth collection of articles and books on Home Economics from a wide range of years.

Here are the lists by years

The Homemaker by Dorothy Canfield Fisher fiction story

Fun links! Thanks, Jennifer. This is an interest of mine too, although right now I'm reading more about early American housewifery. Early 19th C rather than early 20th C but all eras are interesting to me.
