Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Inspired by the Funny Stories and Sweet Stories threads, let's start a Primo Stories thread.

I've been home educating for a good many years now. From time to time, often when I least expect it, our family experiences something above the usual...extra right...grace-filled flow...exceptional. Somehow the moment touches my heart and fills my eyes with tears of gratitude and love. Today, we were blessed.

I have made some changes to our routine, to include spending Tuesday mornings on piano lessons and math manipulatives. After piano lessons went exceptionally well, I read Grandfather Tang's Story with Beethoven playing in the background. John Paul napped while the older children played with their tangrams. The story kept us guessing and everyone focused on the work at hand while we also laughed and relaxed together. The conversation covered Beethoven, nature study (animals mentioned in story,) China, Olympics (Chinese athletes we just watched,) and more. Time flew to the point that we didn't want to break for lunch.

That's it! I know that my words don't capture the feeling. We don't even have a great product to show for it (we took a picture of a tangram story the children put together and will show dad.) I hope you can identify and will share your stories.

Love,
