My aunt was forever relieved of the burden of cancer on Monday and will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Please pray for her peaceful repose and that the family she leaves behind will find comfort in Christ.

Eternal rest grant her, o Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

Update 12/20/2010

After months of chemo and radiation, my aunt found out last week that the cancer is still active. She is trying to decide what course to take next--more chemo, nothing, ??? We were hoping for better news.

Please pray for her as she decides what to do next, for her children and grandchildren and all of us who love her as we do what we can to help her through this battle, and that we may all graciously accept God's will--whatever it may be.

Thank you all. The intentions here are ever in my prayers.

Ladies, I seem only to come here for prayer requests lately. Know that though I'm mostly absent, your intentions are ever in my prayers!

I come asking prayers for my family still. On the heels of my father's death comes the news that his sister, the only surviving member of my father's immediate family, has stage 4 lung cancer. The average life expectancy for someone at this stage is 8 months. My family and extended family are feeling a bit overwhelmed with the recent losses and now this impending loss. We have all been asking each other, "What next? What more?"   

I fluctuate between deep sadness and guilt since I know there are so many more out there with crosses heavier than these.

Thank you again for your past and continuing prayers. God bless you all!
