Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm always on the lookout for more bird projects for my ds.
I found the exploring nature website. Here is the bird page.

A lot on the site is free, but you can also join to have full access. It looks like a neat site. Has anyone tried it?

Melinda,
That is a really neat site! I'm loving clicking around over there! I'd never seen it before so I wanted to thank you for linking it! It looks like they offer a lot on their subscriber site as well as the free non-member side. I love that they appear to offer voluminous material for a range of ages!

I'm tucking this away in my *consideration* pile, but like Melinda, I'd love to hear if anyone here subscribes to Exploring Nature.

It is fun to click around... lots of really cool stuff!

I like how realistic her drawings are... reminds me of Audobon's pictures.
Also, I like how she puts together units. I looked at the squirrel activity. It guides you through making a journal to record squirrel behavior, plus has a how to draw a squirrel sheet along with facts and pictures.

At the end she lists what each age level should be learning from the activity.
With some units there are book recommendations.
And all this is just on the free side!

I feel like I should give her the $25 just to say thank you for all the free stuff. I know I will be using it a lot to go with our science next year.

Check out this skeleton page
Kind of like a body search and find. So much fun!

The author, Sheri Amsel, also has a free nature newsletter you can sign up for. I have been on her list for awhile but just never got over to check out her site.
