I am taking a saliva test today and need to do it four different times. I did the first one and it took half an hour.

Has anyone done this before or have any tips to make it go a "little" bit faster? The concept sounds so easy but with all the timing, eating and drinking restrictions, it is seeming a little complicated to me!

smiling helps your mouth produce saliva

but I don't really know anything about saliva testing.

Having food in front of you (whether you like the food or not) also produces saliva (of course, if you like it, you produce more)

I did this very recently. The first one is hard. The rest are easy. The directions I had said you could rinse out your mouth with water 5 min prior..that helped me. Smelling food really helps too!

I am glad I took my test. It showed I definitely had adrenal fatigue and now I am being s l o w l y treated. The results took a few weeks to come back..dunno why it took so long. It was a mail-away test that was sent out next day or second day ups.

Thanks for the advice. I cannot eat chocolate today due to the test but that would help!
Donna, I, too, am being tested for adrenal fatigue as well as hormone levels which all probably go together. I hope I get some answers, too! Good luck to you!
