Does anyone have any good audio book recommendations? We have a long trip coming up and we just love passing that time listening to a great book.
Thanks in advance!

We loved The Penderwicks on CD.
Any of the Jim Weiss CD's are great.
Taggerung by Brian Jacques is an especially entertaining (actually hilarious in some places) audio book if you think your kiddos would like the Red Wall series.
These are just a few off the top
Many blessings,

I second Meredith's and add:
Chronicles of Narnia (from Focus on the Family - although Aslan's voice takes getting used to)
Anne of Green Gables (yep, I made the boys listen to this one car ride)
They probably have these at amazon too.

Here's a free source for out of copyright books read by volunteers.. you'd want to pick and choose which readers you like and which books etc.. but it's free

If your library has Playaways you might want to try them. Just got Penderwicks today and a couple of others.
Playaway
all you need is a AAA battery and headphones.
Our favorites are the Narnia CD set (full cast including Kenneth Brannagh and Patrick Stewart), and Redwall (downloadable at Audible.com which is how we built our collection).
I think another one we liked was Enchanted Castle.

There are some GREAT audiobook threads here you might check out, Kirsten!
4Real search results: audiobook
This might be redundant if I mentioned this on one of those other threads, but we LOVE Old Sam, Dakota Trotter. Bethlehem books has a few other audiobooks to choose from.
