Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I thought that some of you might like to know that this Saturday, April 24, the Build and Grow project at Lowes is building a bird feeder. I know what my husband and some of my children will be doing on Saturday morning.

My son is going as well. We weren't able to make it last week for the clear view grow box though.

We missed last week's project as well. When we can't make it in the morning, we often stop in at Lowes later that day and ask if they have any extra kits from the morning's workshop. Everytime I have done that, they have given me a kit for each child to take home.

Unfortunatley, I forgot to do that last week. Hopefully, we will make it for the bird feeder.

What ages does this start at?

We have both a Home Depot and a Lowes nearby, but they never seem to put ages on the events so I'm not sure if DD is old enough.

Ever since Joann10 mentioned these, we've been going just about everytime! This is making us Lowe's fans (which wasn't hard since JP LOVES Nascar and they sponsor Jimmie Johnson ... but, I digress) ...

The projects are fun/useful and give the kids a good chance to practice following directions and what kid doesn't love to hammer!

You're right. You need to get to the actual registration page to find the recommended ages, which in this case are 1st through 5th grade.

Love,

FYI. I did take my son before 1st grade. I think he was 4 or 5. He could not do it independently so I helped him. I very bravely held things together while he hammered

Mary, we also missed the grow box.

My oldest son started going to the Home Depot Children's Workshops when he was four. When my husband learned about the Lowes workshops, he started taking the children to them, too. However, we did not know how to see what the next project was until Mary provided the link to upcoming projects in another thread.
