OK, I'm pretty embarrassed about this but Mystery Class #6 is STILL at 24:00.....it's pretty easy to chart ours anyway!

Mystery class #9 is 12 hrs 49 mins for a loss of 10 minutes. The photoperiod is normal, but there is something fishy about the actual times. They seem to have suddenly jumped back an hour. Check out challenge question #2 on the website.

Theresa, here is information about parts of the world that have Daylight Savings Time changes in early 2006. The first one occurred February 19 - an hour back. Exactly the right timeframe for what we are seeing. There is only one country showing a DST change for that date- seems to narrow it down, huh.
Oh, and Mystery Class #7: 11 hours 29 minutes

Mary
We had found a website that listed countries in Daylight Savings Time and there were quite a few. Some in South America, and then Australia. So we had narrowed it to those two areas since they both fit the latitude estimate we had made. Then we looked at WHEN it changed, and came up with one country as well. So I guess we've got our country figured out and now it is just a matter of figuring out the city.

Just wanted to let you know we've plotted a couple of "Mystery Islands," in case your families want practice locating the intersecting coordinates:
Banana Island.....39deg. Latitude N; 11deg. Longitude E
Danger Island....34deg. Latitude N; 124deg. Longitude W
6yo ds got to name the islands...cool huh? If anyone else plotted a Mystery Island (Secret Island Hopping in the printable booklet) we'll give them a shot.
Also....is anyone journaling signs of spring or following the Robin or Tulip (or other sightings)? Please share your observations!

Whoops! Looks like neither Alice nor I posted our data for this week! I bet she thought I did it and I thought she did.
I'm sure you all just filled it in yourselves, but just to keep the record complete, here's the data for Feb 20:
Mystery Class #1: 10 hrs 47 minutes.
Sorry about that! Kate just discovered the omission. We'll head over to the new thread to post this week's data now!
