Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been spending more time in the garden lately and doing so reminded me that I still don't know what this flowering plant pictured below is.

I would appreciate finding out it's name, if anyone knows what it is.

It looks sort of like a sweet almond a friend of mine had in her yard, but I'm not positive bc I only saw it once quite a long while ago. It certainly is beautiful... Love that soft pink.

Thank you, Caroline! Some Google images make me think that you might be correct. I need to look a little bit more closely at the blossoms to know for sure.

Thank you once again, Caroline. It is a pink flowering almond.

I'm glad you figured that out, Christine! I love knowing the names of plants, and this one is truly beautiful in the spring. Makes me want to plant one!
