I’m specifically asking for prayers for my little guy, Peter. He made his First Confession and First Communion yesterday, after his big day previously being delayed by Lily’s hospital stay. All was going fine, until the end of Liturgy, when they passed out Blessed Bread. (we go to a Eastern Catholic church) The elderly lady who made the bread, (and knows about the boys anaphylaxis to milk)....forgot....and put milk in the bread. We ended up having to give my 11 yo epi at the church....and taking both into the ER for treatment for a reaction. Everything turned out okay, but poor Pete. He has already been through so, so much medically....and this was NOT the way I wanted his FHC day to turn out....full of anxiety and drama. He was so anxious, I feel so bad for him.
This is also a very big deal for my 11 yo, who had just barely gotten over his Easter pneumonia, (and was in the ER for an reaction that needed epi on Palm Sunday) has been on steroids twice in two weeks, and is now on them again....
AND....I am very sick with a sore throat, cough, and have lost my voice. (that last part is really for the best, I am sure )
Does this qualify for "one thing after another"??
Just pray we all heal soon....and Pete is healed from the anxiety and fear he has surrounding yesterday and can take our Precious Lord in the future without lingering anxiety over having a reaction. It just breaks my mama’s heart the way the day went for him
Thanks, Friends.

It sure does. Lots of things, one after the other. I'm sorry you've had to handle so much in the last couple of weeks.
I'm praying for all of you, particularly for your dear Pete.

Oh my - prayers for your whole family and the poor lady who must feel awful about forgetting. But special prayers for your First Communicant. He sure ended up with a lot to offer up on his special day.
Lots of hugs to all of you.
