My little guy Peter James(18mos) fell off of a chair and broke his elbow. I am awaiting a call from the orthopedist. Please pray for him that he wont be too upset and this will be an easy fix and everyone will treat him well...Looks like a long night.
sigh.

Peter slept hard last night. We didn't get home until 2am. We were in the ped emergency room for 5 hours and he ended up with 3 sets of xrays. They told us that there are 3 classifications for the break in his arm...one he gets casted, 3 he gets surgery, and 2 is the middle of the road and can go either way...he had a 2. Thank God that they decided that this will heal well w/o surgery..if he had needed it they would have put him in for it last night. I also thank God that he passed out after awhile...8 hours without food and water can be rough for a little guy. Thank God so many people were praying for him. Jeff and I had no dinner last night and a mercy nurse named Grace found us 2 sandwiches around 11 pm.
Peter is sporting a cast and sling that he has to wear for 3 weeks. He is good about it and is using his toes for things and woke up whistling...yes, my little guy whistles..lol. Nice to be young and bounce back quickly, 'eh?
Tonight we were invited to dinner with 2 other couples by our parish priest. I know this will be fun. It is his way of thanking our families for showing up to run so much...LOL
God bless you for all of your prayers! Your love and support meant so much to us last night. It was an interesting time to discuss things....Jeff and I were discussing ways they could have done this faster and wonder how much worse care will be with socialized medicine...sigh.

Oh Donna-Marie!! This happened to one of my children when they were 2years old and I was expecting at the time, it was very traumatic, my little girl shattered her elbow. Praying for a quick recovery, no complications!

that sounds like our experience.....sort of...Matthew was two, it happened a couple of days after my NB's heart surgery......and he slept through the full-length leg casting...within a couple of weeks...he was running in the cast!
Prayers for uneventful healing!
