What age do you think it is good for. I know what the web site states but could I do it with a 7 and 12 year old together. I know I would have the 7 year old not do the same type of assignments as the 12 year old, but are the books that go with the study age appropriate for a soon to be 2nd grader?

Just bumping.

I don't have any direct experience with the History of Music Study Guide, but I enjoy a few of the other Beautiful Feet Study guides so I'd love to hear opinions if others have used this guide.

I have used a few of the books recommended as part of this guide, Barb. I think you could probably substitute with more age appropriate books as read alouds for your 2nd grader if you felt you needed to. Story of the Orchestra is nice and would be fine for your 2nd grader. I don't see these as recommended by the guide, but I like very much the Great Composers series by Opal Wheeler which was originally published in the 40's. My kids enjoy these as read alouds.

I find the guides in general to be easy to use and helpful in coordinating a unit study. However, in the two guides I have, I have found a couple of recommended books I wanted to substitute for because the guides and book recommendations offered are from a non-Catholic viewpoint. Just be aware and mindful of that. I haven't found it difficult to recognize or substitute, but I did want to mention this.

Anyone have any opinions of this guide?
