A blessed Holy Saturday to all of you!
I received a message tonight from 4 lads mom asking for prayers for one of her fellas - seems he's in pediatric urgent care with something that sounds like pneumonia. I know she'd appreciate it if you all could surround her, her son, and the entire family with prayers!! This is no good all by itself, but if it manages to migrate to little Lily it could impact her upcoming surgery!
I know she'd appreciate the prayers!

Hi Friends,
We are home! Thanks for the prayers!! My 11 yo is still very sick wheezing like crazy even after three treatments in a row!! They are okay with that, only because his oxygen levels are okay. The steroids will kick in soon, and hopefully this will be the only night spent keeping him off the ceiling and doing lots of treatments! He has a pretty bad asthma flare after having an anaphylaxis last Sunday, needed epi and an ER trip...from eating a corn dog!!! (have no clue what caused it, but it was scary) That got his asthma worked up, and then he got a cold (from the ER, I am sure), and then it escalated through the week to this....
The good news is, while Lily had this as well, but it was very mild.....and while she has needed extra aerosol treatments as well, she is improving.
She saw her pulmonologist yesterday, who put her on steroids as well....but only because she has the surgery in four weeks, and the doc wanted to make sure they nipped this in the bud.... the doc thinks she can make the case to do the surgery anyway, because until she gets this surgery, the trach stays in (not a good option long term)....We go back to see the surgeon for a pre-op visit and a formal check by the anesthesiology dept....

Oh- what a time you are having! Definitely we will be praying for you- one asthma/allergy household to another. Asking St. Bernadette to keep watch over Lily as her surgery draws closer.
