Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My soon-to-be-15-month-old is into our refrigerator magnets. They're not exactly toddler-friendly though.

Where do you get good magnets? They don't have to be educational as we have lots of other educational toys, just safe and interesting enough for 15-mo.

The magnets our babies play with are some alphabet ones I made using sticky back magnet paper and scrap cloth. The alphabet is a little tedious to cut out (I used pinking shears), but it would be easy to cut out simple shapes out of fun fabrics to move around.

I like these on the bottom of the fridge because we had some magnets with the small round pieces that would knock out and become choking hazards or worse if there were two! The flat, magnet sheet is not going to hurt anything. Mine have been through 3 boys, and the cloth is only now beginning to separate on the most abused ones. Either way, they aren't unsafe.

I love the Leap Frog magnets, Stef. There are several little phonics/alphabet magnet sets, and they're great for tiny hands and they grow with them, too. We've had our fridge phonics set since Mark was little and my 2 yo loves these magnets right now!

There are no exposed magnets to possibly pop off and be swallowed and the pieces are nice and large and colorful for little hands to explore.
