Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So I can't be on the same plain as Jen and Suzanne, but I'm thrilled with my new tool.

C.S. Osborne 223 Revolving Leather Hole Punch, Multi-sized

I'm not partial the brand, except that I was looking for smaller holes, and this one starts at size 0 - 5/64".

I don't know how I lived without it before. Well, yes I do, I would ask the shoe store to punch holes.

I have narrow feet that need arch support, and find that the straps aren't tight enough for most shoes. This is the same with watches...not enough holes to make the wristband tight.

When I buy the shoes new, I do try to get extra holes to make it tighter. But as the leather gets stretched, well, the shoes become unwearable because they aren't tight enough to support my aching feet.

After buying two pairs of shoes recently, the first pair was in stock, so I got the holes punched from the saleslady. But the second pair was being shipped, and it would have required me to drive a long way to get more holes punched. That's when I had the aha moment that I should look to see if they sell these!

Now, probably if my son was a cub scout or I worked on leather I would have known about this.

But I'm just thrilled. I just tightened some straps of Dansko Marcellas, which were so loose. They are wearable again!

Just sharing one of those useful tools that I wish I had before. And I can see using it for my boys clothes (belts and such)....oh the possibilities.

having a good tool is a wonderful thing.. I've used ice picks before.. but they don't leave a nice hole.

Back when we had horses I used to have those things around all the time. Now I sure wish I had kept one!
