Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Moms~

Are the pattern packets necessary for the K part of the Image of God series?

My DD loves crafts...and I am not crafty, so duplication is not a strength. ;)

Thank you!

Maggie

In my opinion the only neccessary part for that grade level is the teacher's manual (which when bought new has the pattern packet included).

However, the craft ideas using the pattern packet are well suited to the age level, quite simple to prepare for any number of children *and* some of the crafts, such as the trinity mobile, have ended up being done every year at our house. Since you use the patterns to trace and cut construction paper, they are not consumable.

We used them, but you could easily do without by free-drawing most of the them (most of the activities in the teacher's manual show a small outline of what the patterns look like).

My son's favorite is that Holy Spirit mobile - when one wears out he quickly creates another - it's been 4 years now, I wonder how long he'll keep this up!

:)
