St. Joseph Communications has produced a study by Kimberly Hahn called A Mother's Rule for Life in the Domestic Church. It looks wonderful. Does anyone have it or heard opinions on it?

Wow! Bridget, you've gotten 45 hits and no one has responded. I'm guessing that you are breaking news . It's been a long time since we've had something entirely new from Kimberly Hahn. I'm going to ask around locally to see if anyone has heard these. Kind of pricey but they really look interesting...

This looks awesome! I love how Kimberly weaves scripture in such practical ways.

I just got this set. I am planning to go through it (it's 12 discs) with two or three other women and help each other actually come up with our own rules! I loved Holly's book, but found at my stage in life, with teens as well as toddlers, it has been difficult to come up with a rule that is realistic. My hope is that Kimberly's outlook will help me apply Holly's ideas. Plus, I have two very trusted friends who are going to go through this with me, so the accountability should really help. So far, what I've listened to has been wonderful. Years ago I did Kimberly Hahn's set on the Proverbs 31 Woman with a group of six other women. I am surprised that so far I don't see alot of redundancy, which was something I was concerned about. This woman is a wealth of information and inspiration! I haven't listened to even half of the talks yet, but my initial reaction is very positive!

Chris,
Must Holly's book be read before applying Kimberly's study?

Hello Donna,
I do think that it would be helpful, as Kimberly seems to presume a certain familiarity with Holly's ideas. That being said, I think if you have a general idea of Holly's system for creating your rule, you might be OK, too. I haven't read Mother's Rule cover to cover, but I think I have gotten through most of the "meat" and I can follow Kimberly's talks just fine. They really supplement the book nicely.
Hope that Helps. God Bless.
