The military wants $5100+. Last Tues, my husband found out that he was either going back to shift work (dispatch--job from hell), or, he could become the Emergency Management director, for the city, but it would be only part time (he'd make the same money, but work 1/2 as much, so not a bad deal, actually, and what he was going to do).
This morning, he goes in, and finds out that they were playing head games, and decided that nope, the PT position was not an option...that he *would* be going back to dispatch, not effective May 1 (as would have been the case from last week's discussions), but instead, they wanted him to start over there (again), next week. Well, they are now letting him wait 2 weeks, because he already had some vacation time put in for, to go camping with the older three and some friends of ours...but he is absolutely dejected. He is absolutely distraught. Called me in tears. The dispatch job is truly hellacious, and is *not* good for our family life.
I am grateful he has a job. He won't be making any more money, we already had benefits (military retiree), and frankly, we *need* him home more. Not on some wonky schedule.
Please pray that we can make the adjustments needed. I have no idea which shift he will be starting on, either...please pray it is one that will work best for us...although right now, I'm not sure which one that will be.

Thanks, ladies.
We are very blessed to have a job, and I know that we need to keep that in mind. We had just really gotten to be excited about the potentials with him working the part time job...(doing what he does now, for the same money, but 1/2 the time, with no benefits--which we have already through the military)...
Yeah.
We have *so* much stuff needing work around here, and we were so glad that we were going to be okay, and he was going to be home more to work on it.
And now...
SIGH.
Please pray.
Making matters "better", is that AF showed up yesterday morning first thing, before he even left for work--for the first time since the day after Christmas (no, I wasn't pregnant). PCOS stinks and it makes cycles so...
well, difficult...painful.
Not something I need to be dealing with on top of everything else...

Well, things have gotten better--and worse, lol--
The job thing is still the way it was. The military wants their money still.
The children caught a stomach virus and so it is making its way through the family (currently, Twin #1 and I are the only ones not throwing up).
DH is on vacation from now thru this Sunday...so that is good.
But please, pray.

I am so sorry. I will pray for you. I know how hard it is to not have that precious husband/daddy time...
