A local farm that we'd made two previous offers on has foreclosed. Here's a little background on what happened recently.

Our real estate agent also chased up some information. She decided yesterday that she would go out and talk to the owner today to see if he'd be interested in selling it to a client of hers (us). This morning, I decided to make an express St. Joseph novena. Within 10 minutes she had called me with a suggestion of going with an offer in hand (we already have commitment from our bank).

She's on her way over to draw up the formal offer, which she will then take directly to the owner. May we ask for your prayers today?

Just got a call from the agent. She was on the way back from the farm. She made the offer to the owner. The wife called the husband on the phone. THey said they'd think it over overnight and let her know tomorrow if they'd like to negotiate.

Honestly, we didn't even think she'd manage to meet these folks face-to-face. She took a chance just showing up.

The good news is that we didn't get a flat refusal. And we still have room in the offer if they want/need us to go up.

His will be done!

Brian and I stopped to eat after class last night. When I joined him at the table he said "There's a message from Susan (our agent). Do you want to talk to her?". It was 9:45 PM. I told him I thought it would be more polite to wait until morning. "No, I think you'd better call her right now".

So I did; and it turns out that the couple want us to come talk with them this weekend. They want to discuss some options - one being some kind of partnership... Not sure how we feel about that considering the situation they're currently in.

It turns out that the man knows Brian's family. Very, very small world.

Keep those prayers coming - and I'll keep you up-to-date.
