This Monday, March 1, there is a court hearing regarding the baby I posted about in this post.
The baby's birth mom is really struggling and has reached out to DH and I again regarding adopting her baby.
If you have time, could you please pray that God's will be done and that he protects the hearts of all involved.

Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers! On Sunday, DH and I made the difficult decision that we would not seek to adopt the baby since it would mean removing the baby in 6 months from the only home the baby has ever known. The baby would be 9 months old by then and has been with the current foster family since birth. We had heard from the county that the foster family that has the baby is a wonderful family and really wants to adopt the baby in the event the biological mother's rights are terminated.
We went to the hearing this morning in order meet the foster family before making our final decision. They are lovely people who love this baby. We informed the county and the foster family that we would not seek placement of the baby in our home now or in the event the mother's rights are terminated in 6 months. We also informed the birth mother of our decision. She was very angry.
We are at peace with our decision and feel it is in the best interest of the baby. Again, I thank you for your prayers.
