Could you please shoot up a prayer for my little 5 mo, Veronica? As some of you may remember, she wasn't able to nurse and I have been pumping her every meal.  I got a great groove going, then she threw me a curve ball. She prefers me to the bottle, and I thought we were on the road to a nursing relationship. Well, she just can't do it, she just can't nurse. Her diapers dry up and her clothes get a little loose on her everytime I try.
The problem is now, she can't nurse and she refuses to accept it and despises the bottle with a passion! Result, she's not eating enough to make me happy. I have a call into my wonderful lactation consultant, hopefully I can get some help. I'm really stressed out over it. At this point, she won't even accept formula, she hates the bottle, period. She isn't a good nurser...

I'm off the board for Lent (it is a major sacrifice, I want to know what everyone is talking about  ), except WPTTL, as I am continuing to pray for all of you this Lent.

Oh, my firstborn was a preemie and we struggled a long time with nursing and I pumped a lot too so I completely understand how exasperating and exhausting this is. Will pray for you both.

Prayers for you both. My oldest accepted a sippy cup at age 3 months. You might want to try that to get something in her.

So sorry to hear the continued challenges - praying for you!! Will she take something besides a bottle - going right to a (slow flow) sippy cup or something similar. We often suggest it for babies who won't take the bottle. At her age she is more upright and has good head/neck control, so is an option.
