This probably isn't narration in the "true" sense, but it does help with language arts for my reluctant writers.

Both of my children (dd 10 and ds 7) like to fill spiral notebooks with "wordless" stories. They draw pictures to tell the stories and then "tell" or "narrate" the story to us. My dyslexic daughter started doing this on her own and my son followed along. My husband decided to start video taping the stories.

No, not narration since narration is a telling back of a story they've heard, but that is an AMAZING CREATIVE STORY!!!!! Keep that kid supplied with notebooks and markers!!! What an AWESOME IMAGINATION!!!!

Now, you can channel this great ability to "see" a story and turn it into a narration by reading him a story and asking him to re-tell it in his sketch book with pictures! I do that with my kids and it's wonderful, particularly for my non-writers.

But, definitely keep encouraging that amazing imagination with his creative stories! I'm so glad you shared that video because it was absolutely precious! Loved Princess Kitty and the three heroic, if not dappled, Guinea Pigs!!
