Please pray mostly for my husband as this dog was his for 13 years, and with him through some deep trials in life.
And please pray for us as we must find another dog. We have to have a dog to protect our fruit trees and garden from the deer, and our other dog is just as old, and won't last long himself. Please pray that we will find a good calm dog, at a decent place  (I don't like this kind of stuff when you don't know what kind of people your going to run into), and affordable price .

I wish you weren't so far away, I would give you my five year old pointer who needs a new home. He is sweet and needs lots of room to run and would definitely chase off the deer.

will pray . we lost our little momma dog chica 1 1/2 yrs now she was 12yo. dd was over last night and said I miss chica . I told her I do too but for the first time the pain is gone . I don't cry when and each time I think of her . The memory is there but just dosen't hurt as much .
We got two dogs 2 months after her death and they were born the day after she died so when we saw them we new we had to get them .
we went from chihuahua to huskie mix ! very big change . and by the way chihuahuas are great protectors . I can vouche chica actually treed a black bear  it stayed up there a good 1/2 hr.
I'm sure once you do find a new addition there will be much joy . I just can't imagine not recieving joy from a dog
