Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Cranberries grow in New Jersey and states north of that, if it helps to know that...Maybe wild rice...but my dh says it's pretty finicky about temperature ranges. I don't know exactly where you are, either (Canada is BIG!).

Is there something you could do with willow or other medicinal plants?

Nancy we are in MB and the land ids north central . yes I use willow alot for arthritus remedy I harvest quite a bit already . Wild rice does grow at the march here ,we can just boat up the creek and there it is . we are just not sure on how marketable it is , worth the effort etc. maybe water lily bulbs ? dh really wanted to try his hand at bees & sheep and that is definately not swamp material
